Portraying the role of Charles Brandon in the 2007 series The Tudors, Henry Cavill revealed that his character’s development had no effect on him going shirtless in scenes. Talking about how one day he snapped at the producer, Cavill revealed that people loved seeing him naked!

In 2007, Cavill joined the historical drama series The Tudors. Portraying the life and marriages of King Henry VIII, Cavill portrayed the role of Charles Brandon in the series till its end. In an interview, the actor revealed that he has been demanded to remove his shirt countless times and he was tired from it.

Talking about his personal life with Elle, Cavill talked about how he doesn’t have a celebrity crush, who his girlfriend is really interested in, and how he gets objectified every opportunity that people get. Revealing how his character in The Tudors had become morose and depressed, Cavill snapped at the producer for asking him to be shirtless since it did not make any sense!

“Are you kidding me? I had to start telling the producers, “Stop making me take my clothes off.” One year they said, “For the publicity shot, we’re going to have you shirtless holding a horse.” I said, “Why the f*ck am I shirtless? My character has changed. He’s a morose, depressed dude.” They’re like, “Yeah…but people love it.”

The interviewer further asked Cavill if he felt objectified by the requests and the actor said that he was actually flattered.

“I don’t consider it being objectified. If people like to see me with my shirt off, it’s enormously flattering. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to take my shirt off all the time.”

Talking about how he had his fair share of awful experiences with his girlfriends, Cavill revealed that there was a common question that his girlfriends would ask him and Cavill was brutal in his replies!
