Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Are ‘Focused on Their Separate Lives’ This Summer After Her Trip: Source

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are “focused on their separate lives” this summer amid tensions in their marriage, a source tells PEOPLE.

The source close to Lopez says that at the moment, the couple “don’t have any summer plans together.”

Lopez recently returned to Los Angeles from her trip from Europe. The source says that the actress “enjoyed her trip to Europe” and that she “has more travel planned, but is back in L.A. for now.”

More than one month after PEOPLE first reported that Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, were living separately in Los Angeles as they dealt with strife in their marriage, a source previously told PEOPLE that the Academy Award-winning filmmaker moved all of his things out of the couple’s Beverly Hills mansion before Lopez returned from her trip to Europe.

“Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental. He’s been there for about two months now,” another source said. “He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids.”

On June 26, the couple reunited after the Atlas actress returned from her trip and were photographed separately entering a building in West Hollywood where they both maintain offices.

Lopez and Affleck were married in July 2022 after they rekindled their relationship back in 2021. Sources told PEOPLE about the couple’s marital strife back in May and said that their marriage is “not in the best place at the moment.”

Despite the speculation about their relationship, both Affleck and Lopez “remain friendly,” per a source, and are focused on their work and family. On June 16, Lopez even shared a photo of Affleck, “our hero,” in a sweet Father’s Day tribute on her Instagram Story.
