Netflix has unveiled new photos of The Witcher Season 4 cast, sparking buzz ahead of the show’s return. The images spotlight Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia, alongside returning cast members Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra. They also introduce Laurence Fishburne as Regis, offering a first look at the expanded ensemble for the season.

Netflix has released new pictures for The Witcher Season 4, showcasing Liam Hemsworth’s appearance as Geralt of Rivia. The official premiere date is October 30, 2025, with the season marking Hemsworth’s debut in the role following Henry Cavill’s departure after Season 3. The show’s account on X posted, “Torn apart by a war-ravaged Continent, the fight continues for Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer to survive and reunite again. The Witcher Season 4 returns to Netflix 30th October.”

The newly unveiled stills showcase multiple key characters. Hemsworth appears as Geralt, wielding a glowing red sword in a forest while wearing a dark, studded jacket, with long white hair and a scarred face. Freya Allan portrays Ciri and can be seen in a gold jacket, carrying a sword on her back, near a horse. Another image depicts Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer in a confrontation.

Laurence Fishburne makes his debut as Regis, wearing ornate, patterned robes while mounted on horseback. Regis is described by Netflix as “a world-wise barber-surgeon with a mysterious past.” Joey Batey returns as Jaskier, holding a quill and book in a candlelit room. Danny Woodburn and Jeremy Crawford also reprise their roles as dwarves Zoltan and Yarpen, standing alongside Geralt in a village setting.

Showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich explained how the story evolves after the events of Season 3. “His side is Ciri and Yen, and he will do anything [for them],” Hissrich told Tudum. She added that Geralt forms a new group known as the Hanza, traveling with Jaskier and Milva to aid his search. “He begins to realize that he needs help to get Yennefer and Ciri back, and when you need to help, you actually have to give of yourself as well,” Hissrich said.

The Witcher Season 4 will premiere worldwide on Netflix on October 30, 2025.
