The 2024 Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs) is an event that is being watched by millions of viewers around the world when the prestigious awards will find their truly worthy owners.
Maintaining her leading position, Taylor Swift is the female artist dominating this year’s MTV VMAs when she “revenues” a series of major awards.
Specifically, with just the hit song Fortnight, the female singer won the following categories: Artist of the Year (2 consecutive years), Best Pop, Video of The Year, Best Collaboration (ft. Post Malone), Best Editing, Best Direction, Song of the Summer. Thus, Taylor Swift has brought home a total of 7 trophies for the 2024 Video Music Awards season.
The consecutive victories at this year’s Awards Ceremony also helped Taylor Swift increase the total number of awards she received at the MTV VMAs from 23 to 30, officially surpassing Beyoncé’s record (27 awards) to become the artist who won the most MTV VMAs awards in history.
In addition, at the Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift also became the artist who won the most Video of the Year awards of all time, including: Fortnight (2024), Anti-Hero (2023), All Too Well: The Short Film (2022), You Need To Calm Down (2019), Bad Blood (2015).
Not only did Taylor Swift “smash” a series of major awards at the MTV VMAs, this year the Organizing Committee also gave Taylor Swift special “favor” when they set up a separate camera to capture the singer’s expressions throughout the Awards Ceremony.
Taylor Swift, 35 years old, is an American singer and songwriter, who rose to fame with country music in 2006. After 10 albums, Taylor received 14 Grammy Awards and 29 Billboard Awards.
In December 2023, Guinness recognized The Eras Tour as the highest-grossing tour of all time, reaching more than one billion USD. The singer’s net worth is about 1.1 billion USD.
