8 years of no music and now, Rihanna will retire?
Recently, TMZ spotted Rihanna on the street wearing a special t-shirt. Specifically, the text on Rihanna’s shirt is “I’m retired” – “I retire!”.
I don’t know if this was an accidental T-shirt that Rihanna chose to go out on the street today, or if she really wanted to send a message to the world: I-retire, I don’t sing anymore!

Rihanna and her shirt are causing a stir on social networks.
In fact, the public doesn’t really care too much about whether Rihanna really retires or not. Looking at the way she devotes all her energy to Fenty’s current billion-dollar “empire”, the public also clearly understands that the Barbados-born female singer is not very interested in music.
Recently on social media, a fun analogy was shared to help everyone imagine how long it has been since Rihanna last released official music. The album Anti was released in 2016, 8 years ago, at a time when TikTok had not yet appeared, and Barack Obama was still President of the United States.
Since then, Rihanna has not released any more official music products, but unfortunately, the “art team” still shines on her! The number of streams on Spotify pouring into the name Rihanna is still extremely regular, always in the top 10 most listened to female artists on this platform every month, despite many generations of artists coming and going. Even in July 2023, Spotify also confirmed Rihanna’s record as the first female artist to have 10 songs with over 1 billion streams – even though she has absolutely no new music!

Rihanna has a fortune of more than $1 billion, surpassing even Taylor Swift and is still the richest artist in the world today.
Rihanna has always made a series of sarcastic and satirical moves every time the audience “forces” her to release new music, even causing controversy because of her overly harsh responses. Besides, every year there is information that Rihanna will release new music, sometimes “people in the industry confirm the news is accurate”, sometimes “Rihanna rents an entire island to focus on composing”, sometimes “not just one, but Rihanna will release two albums at the same time”, etc., etc.
But after nearly a decade without new music from Rihanna, fans have long since given up hope and turned off their hearts. A few times Rihanna performed sporadically at the Super Bowl or at some events, it wasn’t enough for people to believe that she would sing again. No one believes in the new album either. Of course, Rihanna’s announcement of her retirement, whether true or not, doesn’t worry her fans at all, maybe it’s just a little sad…

Rihanna is also at peace with her husband and two children, running a billion-dollar Fenty empire… singing probably doesn’t appeal to her much anymore!
