Reba McEntire didn’t have a chance to compete for a West Virginia singer on her team on The Voice.

“Look how mad she is!” Gwen Stefani exclaimed as she looked at McEntire’s expression after discovering she’d been blocked during a contestant’s blind audition. Mor Ilderton took the stage with a “haunting” rendition of “Coal,” by Texas-born singer-songwriter Dylan Gossett. Stefani, who likened Ilderton to Zach Bryan, later added, “mad Reba is scary.”

“I didn’t even touch the red button. I touched the ‘block Reba’ button because I didn’t want the greatest-ever country singer in the universe to even get close,” Michael Bublé said. The “Haven’t Met You Yet” singer turned his chair during Ilderton’s performance, in addition to Snoop Dogg. “Some of the voices that you and I love, they’re unique voices. I’m talking about Willie Nelson, one of my favorite dudes. we just did a song together. Just a distinct voice, full of character. You have that for me, Mor. …I love that The Voice gets to have somebody as unique as you.”

Though McEntire wasn’t able to try to convince Ilderton to join Team Reba, she praised his performance and warned Bublé that she could steal the singer later in the season.

“My gosh, Mor. That was incredible,” McEntire said. “You’ve got a maturity about your voice that I really did enjoy. That sexy…OK, that didn’t sound probably right coming from me, but anywho, I sure would have loved to have had you on my team, but there is a possibility of me to steal you back, so I’m OK with that. Fair warning, Bublé!”
