Henry Cavill recounted the time when his seven-year-old nephew, Thomas, was punished “for lying” at school after his teachers and classmates did not believe him when he said his uncle was Superman.

When the boy’s mother found out about the disciplinary action, she tried to get him out of it, but the teacher did not trust her version either until the actor himself accompanied the boy to school.

Science Says Superman Should Be Black

Cavill, who personified the superhero in the DCEU, said it all started when Thomas went to school in a Superman T-shirt on the day students had to give a speech about their family members.

However, things did not turn out as the young Superman fan expected, in fact, the whole situation backfired and ended up getting him in trouble.

‘Now keep in mind Thomas has got a great reputation for telling stories and just making up stuff to the teacher.

So he goes to school dressed in a Superman outfit, because you know he’s all pumped, because his uncle is Superman.

And the teacher says, “Thomas why are you wearing this? You’re not supposed to wear this to school.”

“Well, because my uncle is Superman,” and she’s like, “Oh okay,” and she pulls him aside… he got in trouble,’ explained the actor.
