Paige Spiranac opens up to Cavinder Twins about golf with Miles Teller, why she is ‘comfortable wearing almost NOTHING’… and says LIV’s PGA Tour merger is ‘really positive’

Two heavyweights of the sporting world of influencers have met, with Paige Spiranac joining the Cavinder Twins on their weekly podcast.

Golf glamour girl Spiranac spoke to the famed college basketballers on the latest edition of Twin Talk.

Haley and Hanna, 22, have been seen by some as following the trail blazed by Spiranac by combining the worlds of sport and social media to a huge degrees of success.

The 31-year-old Spiranac spoke to the twins on a range of topics, from her profile online to the changing landscape of the golfing world.

But the first topic they discussed was social media and Spiranac spoke out on the criticism she sometimes receives for her outfits on the golf course.

Spiranac said she is comfortable wearing little clothing due to her gymnastics background

‘There was one time where I wore a full turtleneck, leggings, I was completely covered head to toe and people were upset with my outfit,’ she said.

‘I have always dressed a very certain way, and I think it comes from my gymnastics background of being very comfortable in literally almost nothing.

‘Where you’re wearing a leotard, that’s pretty much it, so I’ve always felt comfortable in form-fitting clothes and that’s how I feel confident and that’s what I like to wear.’

As their discussion moved, Spiranac was asked who the celebrity is that she had the most fun playing a round with.

‘I don’t want to offend anyone,’ she laughed. ‘I would say the most fun was Miles Teller – he had the best attitude about golf.

‘Sometimes professional athletes who play golf are so competitive and into what they are doing. They are so fiery, that is what makes them so good and what they do, but you don’t want to say or do the wrong thing.,

‘Miles Teller with golf – he would hit a bad shot and laugh it off. Most people don’t do that because golf can be so frustrating. I love playing with people who have that happy-go-lucky attitude.’

As for the impending merger between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour, Spiranac said she thinks it will help improve golf’s overall reputation across the world.

‘There was a ton of controversy,’ Sprianac said. Golf needs to progress, it still has a stuffy mentality. It doesn’t have the same amount of reach that say basketball has.

‘You can see that with the biggest names in teh game and how they translate on social media. You have Steph Curry, Lebron James, they have so many followers.

‘And then you look on the PGA Tour – I am the most followed golfer! That is not adding up! We need to have new demographics in the game.

‘All in all it is going to be really positive but it is still so early on that I don’t know what the PGA Tour is going to look like next year. They have been very secretive.’
