Paige Spiranac is one of the biggest social media personalities in sports and she’s well-versed when it comes to dealing with online trolls. The golf star is a renowned influencer and boasts more Instagram followers than Tiger Woods but she has been subject to criticism for “sexualising women’s golf.” Despite receiving some negative comments, Spiranac has sought to use her platform for good –– helping to promote an anti-bullying campaign and stressing the need for women to feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Spiranac’s perfect response to internet trolls

As mentioned, Spiranac is regularly targeted by trolls online and the influencer posted a hilarious response to those who have sent horrible comments her way.

“Word of advice to the men out there. If you’re going to write a mean, nasty comment about me at least delete your DM asking me out first. You’re giving me mixed messages lol,” she said.

The social media star chose not to name and shame the trolls in question but that doesn’t mean she is afraid to call out people publically.

Indeed, Spiranac recently slammed conservative author Nick Adams after he criticised female golfers for their “slow play” on courses.

In response, Spiranac wrote: “Nick is the type of golfer who tees off from the tips but can’t hit is more than 220 [yards]. He’ll wait for par fives in two when he’s 310 [yards] out. [He’ll] say “hit it sally” when someone in [the] group leaves a putt short. And [he] thinks he has a shot with the cart girl.”
