Henry Cavill might be playing a Wolverine variant in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’.
The multiverse keeps expanding! A fresh rumour suggests Henry Cavill, known for his portrayal of Superman, is suiting up for a Marvel role – but not the one fans might expect.
According to reports, Cavill could be taking on the mantle of a Wolverine variant in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie.
This casting news, stemming from GiantFreakinRobot and other industry insiders, has sent the internet into a frenzy.
While details are scarce, the rumour suggests Cavill will portray a Wolverine from an alternate universe, potentially sporting a long brown coat – a classic look for the character.
This wouldn’t be Cavill’s first brush with superhero stardom. He previously donned the cape for DC’s Superman in Man of Steel and subsequent films.
The official synopsis of the movie states: “After some professional disappointments and an ongoing midlife crisis, Wade Wilson now sells used cars.”
“He’s completely hung up his boots until his family, friends, and whole world are threatened. With everyone he loves at risk, Deadpool teams up with a reluctant Wolverine to fight for their survival and ultimately, their legacy.”
Only time will tell if this rumour holds weight. If Cavill does indeed join the Deadpool & Wolverine cast, it will mark a significant step for the actor and the ever-evolving superhero landscape
