Lady Gaga cancels show at last minute, chokes up to apologize to audience
Lady Gaga had to cancel the show due to health issues, chokes up to apologize to fans.
Lady Gaga surprised the audience when she postponed the show at Kaseya Center (Miami) on the evening of September 3, just minutes before the opening, due to health reasons.
On Instagram, the owner of the hit song Bad Romance said that her doctor and vocal coach asked her to stop performing to avoid the risk of permanent damage to her larynx: “I’m really heartbroken. I was ready to go on stage, but the doctor advised me not to sing. I hope everyone can forgive me,” Lady Gaga wrote.

The organizer at Kaseya Center also issued a statement confirming the postponement, saying that alternative dates and refund information will be updated soon. Gaga had previously performed two consecutive nights in Miami on August 31 and September 1.

The postponed show is part of her “The Mayhem Ball” tour, which kicked off in July in Las Vegas and was scheduled to last until early next year, ending in Tokyo. Immediately after Miami, the 39-year-old singer is scheduled to perform at Madison Square Garden, New York on September 6 and 7.
Coincidentally, on the same day the concert was postponed, Lady Gaga also released a new song, The Dead Dance, with a music video directed by Tim Burton, tied to the Netflix series Wednesday.
