Bon Jovi’s son secretly tied the knot with Brown in May 2024

Jon Bon Jovi is making the Miami Open a family outing!

On Thursday, March 27, the rocker was spotted in the stands of the women’s semifinals tennis match at the Miami Open at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., with son Jake Bongiovi and daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown.

Bon Jovi, 63, attended the event in a gray shirt, colored pants, and a light pink baseball cap. He wore sunglasses as he sat next to his son, 22, who wore a black shirt and khaki pants. Brown, 21, wore a red and white pinstriped look.

The musician has often been a strong supporter of Bongiovi and Brown, who first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 and got engaged in April 2023. They secretly tied the knot in a small ceremony in May 2024 and later married again in front of family and friends in October 2024.

A month before their wedding, Bon Jovi spoke to The Times U.K. about what he respected about Brown.

“I’ve gotten to know her in the last year, she works really hard, and she and Jake will grow together in their own way,” he said.

“It is an accelerated version of what I went through 40 years ago, and I think, with the support of family around them, they’re gonna be great together,” continued Bon Jovi, referencing his relationship with his longtime wife Dorothea Bongiovi, with whom he shares his son and three other kids.

Following Bongiovi and Brown’s secret ceremony, Bon Jovi confirmed that they were married on BBC’s The One Show and said the then-newlyweds were doing “great” together.

“They’re absolutely fantastic. It was a very small family wedding, and the bride looked gorgeous, and Jake is happy as can be. It’s true,” Bon Jovi said.

Last November, an insider told PEOPLE that Bongiovi and Brown were “enjoying a magical year” as husband and wife.

“Millie is very happy with Jake. She loves celebrating Thanksgiving with Jake and his family. She raves about his mom’s cooking,” the insider said. “Their family gatherings are always very special and welcoming.” The insider noted that Brown’s love for the holidays had grown stronger since getting married.

“She always starts decorating early. She’s embracing it all even more now as [a] married [woman],” they said.

Most recently, Bongiovi was by Brown’s side during her The Electric State press tour, including at the film’s Los Angeles premiere and premiere in Madrid, Spain.

Earlier this month, Brown opened up about her desire to have kids with Bongiovi on the Smartless podcast.
