As potential redevelopment plans for Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Woodinville estate are coming into focus, so is the wine-fueled amphitheater’s summer concert slate.
Contemporary crooner and Ste. Michelle regular John Legend, who pairs well with pinot gris and candlelight, returns for two nights on the lawn July 20-21. Various presales run 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday before the general on-sale 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.
The bow-tied smoothy joins three previously announced artists, including Sarah McLachlan, playing an already sold-out two-nighter May 25-26 over Memorial Day weekend. The revered singer-songwriter, who last graced a Washington stage as one of many all-star guests during Brandi Carlile’s blowout at the Gorge Amphitheater last summer, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of her classic “Fumbling Towards Ecstasy” album. McLachlan will be joined by indie-pop veteran (and fellow Canadian) Feist.
Keeping with the Canadian theme, budding pop star Tate McRae, who similarly hails from the Great White North, takes her Think Later Tour to Chateau Ste. Michelle on July 7. Best known for her hits “Greedy” and “You Broke Me First,” McRae notably brought rising Seattle pop-rapper charlieonnafriday on tour with her last year. At the time of this writing, remaining demand-priced tickets started at a yowser-inducing $396.
Lest Seattle-area country fans feel left out of the vino-popping fun, Jordan Davis, who’s accrued a handful of country radio hits since releasing his debut album in 2018, heads to Woodinville on June 21. Limited remaining tickets are currently $252. Davis earned the song of the year award at the 2022 Country Music Awards with his Luke Bryan-assisted hit “Buy Dirt.” Davis will be supported by Mitchell Tenpenny and Ashley Cooke.
The winery and its Live Nation-run amphitheater will continue to announce artists for its 2024 summer concert calendar at www.ste-michelle.com.
