BREAKING NEWS: Players and managers have rallied to Liverpool player, Ibrahima Konate side in support after heartbreaking news is confirmed 15 Minutes ago after an amazing performance with the Liverpool team against Arsenal
Liverpool center back Ibrahima Konate was having a heck of a game against Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday, but he hobbled off late in the game and Arne Slot has revealed he doesn’t think it was serious but will still be sweating on an injury update in the coming days on his French center back.
The French international defender is the main partner for Virgil van Dijk at center back with Joe Gomez coming on in his place and doing a great job.
But Konate has been so important to Liverpool that everyone connected with the club hopes it is only a small issue.
Ibrahima Konate injury news — What happened, latest updates
Konate had a brilliant outing against Viktor Gyokeres and Arsenal but pulled up with around 15 minutes to go, holding his right leg around the knee and quad area.

“I think it was only cramp, so I don’t think it’s an injury, but we have to find out in the upcoming days,” Slot told Sky Sports after the game.
Liverpool are reportedly set to add Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi in the final hours of the transfer window.
However, Slot played down his need for a new center back when speaking after this game.
“I could only not take one player into the game so I had to leave one out and that was a center back, Giovanni Leoni. So I think we are quite well in terms of center backs I can play there and Joe [Gomez] did a tremendous job. I am happy with the squad we have,” Slot added.
