Henry Cavill’s Net Worth Is Truly Astronomical Thanks to ‘The Witcher‘ and the DC Universe
As of late, Henry Cavill has been out here adding movie and TV roles to his IMDb like no other, which, according to our calculations, translates into major moolah for the actor.
Henry first got his start in the early 2000s in feature adaptations like The Count of Monte Cristo and Capture the Castle; But it was the celeb’s leading role in Showtime’s The Tudors as Charles Brandon that catapulted him to ~stardom~. (As in, the show won a buncha awards, including a Primetime Emmy in 2008.) Since then, Henry has cashed tons of checks from Hollywoods biggest power players and franchises, making his total net worth astronomical. Let’s get into it….

Henry Cavill has made *tons* of DC universe $$$ over the years
By “over the years,” we mean over the past DECADE. Back in 2011, Henry was cast as Clark Kent—aka Superman—in the film Man of Steel, which subsequently came out in 2013. The actor reprised the role in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and then again in the 2017 movie Justice League.
You might be wondering just how all of these projects translate to moolah, so let’s break it down. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Henry was reportedly paid $300,000 upfront for Man of Steel—likely in addition to back-end bonuses for box office profits. As for his later movies in the DC universe? Those figures are more unclear, but according to StyleCaster, Variety speculates the actor made around $20 million for Justice League, so we can assume that’s the ballpark figure for his other films for the franchise.
As for Henry’s future with the massive conglomerate? The actor himself dished on the sitch in December 2022, writing, “It’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman. After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life. The changing of the guard is something that happens. I respect that.”
The good news, though? According to an interview with DC Studios co-head James Gunn, he and Henry “talked about a number of exciting possibilities to work together in the future.” Fingers are definitely crossed for more DCU x Henry projects!
Henry joined one of the most iconic movie stars of all time, Tom “I Jump on Couches” Cruise, on the big screen for Mission: Impossible—Fallout as the villain August Walker. “It’s difficult for me to quantify how much the character changed, aside from saying ‘a lot.’ The whole process was an evolution and an improvement upon yesterday’s work. That was one of my favorite things about working with [writer-director] McQ. The script was very much alive and he was constantly, day and night, improving every aspect of it,” he gushed about the role in an a 2018 interview with Collider.
Though the actor’s salary for the film isn’t publicly known, joining the franchise as a villain probably pays a pretty penny.
And let’s not forget about his The Witcher salary
As a fan of the original source material for the show given that he’s an avid gamer (like, he legit built his own gaming computer kinda avid gamer), Henry low-key manifested being a lead on this show. “I pursued, pursued, pursued,” he revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “A couple months after they had gone through their casting process, my agent called and said, ‘They’ve asked you do an audition—you don’t have to do this.’ I’m like, ‘I’ll do it.’ They said, ‘Really? Are you sure?’ I said, ‘Of course. It’s The Witcher.’”
According to Variety, it was definitely worth it financially, since the actor started off making $400,000 per episode to play Geralt of Rivia in season 1. The figure was then upped to a whopping $1 million per episode for season 2, and at eight episodes per season, the celeb took home approx *whips out handy-dandy calculator* $3.2 million for season 1 and $8 million for season 2. Casual! Henry also stars in season 3, which is his final for the streamer, though his salary for the installment isn’t known.
His cameos are cash cows
Like, Henry’s brief cameo in a post-credit scene with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the 2022 film Black Adam reportedly resulted in him taking home $250,000. What is life?! 😭
‘Kay, so what is Henry Cavill’s total net worth?
Oh, just a whopping $50 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, NBD. And in the totally-not-likely event that he’s strapped for cash, Henry could theoretically sell his $5 million Lake Sherwood mega-mansion for some extra funds. Must! Be! Nice!
