Karen Gillan is set to take a role in Amazon MGM’s highly anticipated Highlander remake, portraying Heather, the mortal wife of Connor MacLeod, played by Henry Cavill. On Instagram, Gillan shared her excitement about the upcoming project. Alongside a picture of THR’s article, she wrote, “My dialect coach can sit this one out…so excited to be an actual Highlander in ‘Highlander’!!!” Fans quickly took to the comment section to express their support. Chad Stahelski, known for his work on the John Wick franchise, directs the remake, and Michael Finch penned the screenplay. Meanwhile, the principal photography is expected to begin toward the end of September under Amazon MGM’s United Artists banner. The production team includes Scott Stuber, Nick Nesbitt, Neal H.
