Chrissy Teigen is reflecting on her “amazing” vow renewal with her husband John Legend.
The couple marked their tenth wedding anniversary by renewing their vows in Italy over the weekend and celebrating with their nearest and dearest.
And on Thursday, Teigen, 37, opened up to PEOPLE about the occasion in Lake Como as she hosted the Celebrity ‘Server for an Hour’ Event at Gracias Madre in Los Angeles.
“It was really special,” she shares. “Way more emotional than I anticipated, but really so good. And I just feel so lucky and so blessed and in all the corniest of terms. It was so f- – – – – -g sweet and amazing.”
But Teigen added that she and Legend, 44, didn’t spend as much time together as she would have liked during the celebrations. “On those things, the person that you speak to the least is your husband,” she says, jokingly adding “I’m like, I don’t even remember him.”
The event, which saw celebrity attendees serve guests food, was held to raise awareness for the One Fair Wage campaign, a national effort to raise wages for low-income restaurant workers and end the subminimum wage for tipped workers. Along with host Teigen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Olivia Wilde, Darryl Hannah, Natasha Rothwell and Sarah Paulson also attended the event.

The Cravings author also shared how she was initially hesitant for the pair to renew their vows thanks to so many relationships from the Real Housewives franchise ending after doing the same.
“I didn’t want it to be a vow renewal,” she tells PEOPLE. “I come from the world of Real Housewives and a vow renewal is the kiss of death, but I was like, ‘Let’s kiss it. Let’s do it.’ ”
As for whether or not the couple plan to renew their vows to mark every decade of marriage they reach, Teigen jokes, “My business accountant says that I can do it every 25 years. But no, I would, but you want to make it special too. And I really don’t like celebrations, whether it’s my birthday or anything. But I do love gratitude and I love thanking the people that have been there for the past 17 years of our relationship. To me, that was everything.”
The model went on to share that celebrations usually “drive me up the wall” and it “means more” to her to have a quiet night in, but her husband “loves a party.” “Bless him. God, he loves a party,” she says. “He loves a date night and he loves a party.”
Teigen also revealed that the duo didn’t get each other presents for their milestone anniversary, adding that the “event in itself was the gift.” “It didn’t even cross our minds,” she tells PEOPLE. “I mean, babies? I don’t know. I come from the school of … This is so terrible, which you probably live for when someone says, ‘This is so terrible,’ but I’m a girl and I believe that he is supposed to get things. But I will say, we didn’t really get things. I don’t need things at all.”
She and Legend, who first met in 2006, were joined at their vow renewal by their children — Luna Simone, 7, Miles Theodore, 5, Esti Maxine, 9 months, and Wren Alexander, 2 months.

A Teigen source told PEOPLE of the celebrations, “They treated their friends and family to the best weekend. It was magical! Everything was perfect! Chrissy was the happiest.”
The pair kicked off the special occasion with a brunch on Saturday at Villa Pizzo in Lake Como, which is where they held first wedding ceremony on Sept. 14, 2013.
“She was just glowing in every stunning outfit,” added the Teigen source. “It was special for them to have all their kids be part of their wedding anniversary and renewal.”
One photo of the couple from the weekend showed them wearing matching black and white ensembles, with Legend sporting a dinner jacket and Teigen a flowing gown by Zuhair Murad.
Teigen also shared a series of snapshots of a second outfit on her Instagram Saturday, captioning the carousel of photos, “we come to this place for magic!!!”
