The couple was just about to make an appearance on ‘Today’ when the accident happened

Chrissy Teigen is laughing off yet another wardrobe malfunction. This time, the mishap was thanks to her husband, John Legend.

The 38-year-old model and cookbook author shared some behind-the-scenes clips of her and Legend’s appearance on Today on May 3 on her Instagram Stories. In one video, Teigen shows her POV while wearing a white skirt and blue pointed-toe pumps as someone dabs at her skirt with a napkin. She then pans up to show Legend, standing in front of her in an all-white outfit.

“Just got to @todayshow and John immediately spilled hot coffee on me,” Teigen wrote over the clip.

She then shows the sleeve of Teigen’s blue-and-white striped shirt, which is splattered with coffee stains. The Cravings author also tagged her stylist, Alana Van Deraa, who appears at the end of the video and jokingly comments that she could “just kill him,” presumably referring to Legend.

This is far from the first wardrobe malfunction for Teigen.

At the November 2023 Baby2Baby Gala, the former Lip Sync Battle host shared snaps from the event on her Instagram Stories, including a picture of her exposed back after her dress’s zipper seemingly broke.

“Oh lol,” Teigen captioned the photo, in which she bent over to showcase the snafu.

Luckily, the star was able to get some red carpet photos with the dress — a black gown with a high-knee slit and sparkly 3D flower decals — intact.

Teigen and Legend, who have been married since 2013, seemed to be free of wardrobe issues at the King’s Trust Global Gala in New York City on May 2. The couple looked glamorous on the red carpet, Teigen in a sleeveless, shimmery black lace dress that featured a nude underlay and plunging neckline.

Legend opted for black dress pants, an ivory double-breasted jacket, and a collared shirt. The Grammy winner topped off his classic look with a black bow tie.

The couple share four children — daughter Luna Simone, 8, son Miles Theodore, 5, daughter Esti Maxine, 15 months, and son Wren Alexander, 10 months — but that doesn’t stop them from going on date nights.

They stepped out together last month for the City Harvest Gala in New York, where Teigen turned heads in a nipple-baring sheer floor-length, animal-print dress with long bows as the straps. She wore a smokey makeup look and her hair was styled into a glam updo with face-framing pieces.
