Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Cutest Family Halloween Costumes

From a ‘Copacabana’ throwback to kooky and spooky ‘Addams Family’ ensembles, here are some of the family’s best Halloween moments

Over the years, the proud parents have knocked Halloween out of the park with elaborate costumes ranging from dressing baby Luna in four pint-sized getups in 2016 to their 2023 “furry Halloween” ensembles. Now that they’re a family of six, there’s no telling what cuteness is in store this year.

With Halloween 2023 just around the corner, here’s a look back at some of the Legend/Teigen family’s cutest Halloween moments.

Baby’s First Halloween

After welcoming their first child, Luna Simone, in 2016, the excited new parents couldn’t seem to make up their mind on a costume for their little one. In a series of Instagram posts, Teigen shared all four of her daughter’s costumes — and acknowledged her indecisiveness. In one, little Luna is dressed as a hot dog, while in the another, she’s wearing a peacock headdress which she showed off in a video captioned “You can’t possibly think I only bought the hot dog.”

In a third photo, Luna is dressed as Minnie Mouse and to round out the holiday, she also slid into a banana suit.

A Copacabana Moment

The following year, mom and dad took inspiration from Copacabana with Teigen dressing as Carmen Miranda and Legend as Groucho Marx. Luna? Oh, she was an adorable pineapple, of course!

Their Own Royal Family

In 2018, Teigen and Legend dressed as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. While Luna and newborn Miles Theodore didn’t seem to get in on that costume, in a photo shared to Instagram, Luna is seen sitting on dad’s shoulders in a pink princess dress while he sports what appears to be a Prince Charming ensemble.

The next year, the Legend/Teigen family went all out with their looks — and took very official photos to document the occasion. Mom was dressed as Maleficent — face prosthetics and all — while dad sported his own royal getup. Little Luna seemed to dress as Sleeping Beauty herself and Miles, according to dad’s Instagram,”is the owl from Sleeping Beauty but he refused to wear the owl head,”

In another post from that year, Teigen showed Miles in what appeared to be Luna’s old hot dog costume.

Halloween at Home

In 2020, the family shared a glimpse into their at-home Halloween festivities with their “pod class.” In a video shared Teigen’s Instagram Stories, Luna is seen getting her face painted green, while in another image shared to the platform, Miles is seen dressed in all black holding an orange candy bucket while mom leans over to him dressed as a ballerina from Black Swan.

In another photo, Teigen posed alongside a masked man (presumably Legend) which she captioned “my spidey.”

They’re Creepy & They’re Kooky

The Legend/Teigen crew went all out again in 2021 when they stepped into the roles of the Addams Family! In a video shared to John Legend’s Instagram, the musician (as Gomez) played the theme while Teigen (Morticia), Luna (Wednesday), Teigen’s mom Pepper (Grandmama) and an unidentified fifth person as Cousin Itt.

Furry Friends

In 2022, the family had what they called “a furry Halloween.” Legend and Miles dressed as Robin Hood and Little John while mom and Luna wore matching deer costumes. In the weeks leading up to the event, Teigen teased other options, including a black cat for herself, a dino skeleton for Miles and Jasmine (from Aladdin) for Luna
