Poison frontman Bret Michaels addressed the long-standing question about his hair situation in a recent interview with USA Today.

Michaels provided a candid response about his iconic headwear choice when questioned about his signature bandana and potential baldness.
“It’s my super power. It’s my own feeling of identity,” Michaels said. “Somehow I became ‘Bandana Man.’ It keeps all of the sweat out of my eyes when I’m exercising or performing. And I sweat.”
His statement offers a practical explanation for his trademark look amid years of speculation about his hair status.
The recent comments build upon Michaels’ long history with his signature accessory. The bandana has become an integral part of both his image and personal journey.
Blabbermouth revealed Michaels’ deep connection to his bandana during a serious health crisis. He insisted on wearing it while being rushed to the hospital for a brain hemorrhage. “If I’m going out, I wanna go out rocking… Leave the boots on [and] some form of a bandana,” he told Oprah Winfrey.
The Poison singer’s dedication extends beyond fashion choices. Blabbermouth reported that Michaels developed a patented diamond fold. This special technique was designed to fit any head size through years of trial and error.
His bandana collection demonstrates remarkable dedication to this signature accessory. By 2013, he had amassed over a thousand different bandanas. The accessory has become synonymous with his rock-and-roll identity.
The bandana has transformed from simple headwear into a significant part of Michaels’ brand. He regularly releases new bandana products through his official merchandise channels. This ongoing commitment has solidified his status as the ‘Bandana Man’ in rock history.
