BREAKING: Bucs Cut Rookie Shilo Sanders Morning After Getting Ejected From Final Preseason Game

Life comes at you fast.

Rookie Shilo Sanders, son of Deion and brother to Shedeur, was waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday morning, just hours after being ejected from the Buccaneers final preseason game for throwing a punch.

Here is the punch that led to Sanders’ ejection.

Less than 24 hours after Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie safety Shilo Sanders was ejected from his final preseason game, the team has informed him he will be waived. This is according to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero, among others. Sanders played his college football at the University of Colorado and was signed by the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent.

Sanders was ejected in Saturday’s preseason game between the Bucs and Buffalo Bills after he got into a scrum with Buffalo tight end Zach Davidson. The two got locked up on a play and Sanders decided to finish it with a punch well after the play was over. In going over the video, the two guys were going at it well after the whistle and it looked like Sanders reacted to Davidson grabbing his facemask at the end.

The only reason this is news is because of his last name. Sanders, brother of Browns rookie Shedeur and son of Colorado head coach Deion, has been artificially placed into the spotlight because of his family circumstances. Typically, an undrafted rookie being waived wouldn’t be news at all, and really, this shouldn’t be either. Now Sanders has a chance to be claimed off waivers, and if he clears waivers, he will be able to sign with any team that offers him a contract.
