Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter has been rising and falling on the Billboard charts ever since the superstar released the title back in late March. The singer’s first country project hit No. 1 on a variety of rankings when it first arrived, but shortly afterward, it began to slip, as is usually the case.

This week, Cowboy Carter surges up the charts in America, as it’s become hugely popular once again—not that it had faded from public consciousness, that is. Sales of the full-length are way up when compared to last week, especially when looking at one format. What happened to help the title soar once again?

In the past tracking week, Cowboy Carter sold another 24,000 copies, according to Billboard. That sum is almost entirely made up of purchases on vinyl. The album sold 23,000 copies on the format, which is a massive sum for a project that’s already been out for months—and even available on wax.

That 23,000 number represents a massive growth in vinyl sales from one week to the next. Cowboy Carter’s vinyl purchases increased by a little over 3,550% in just a single tracking frame. Looking at all formats—including CDs and digital downloads—the title’s sales count grew by 1,673%.

Beyoncé fans didn’t all of a sudden decide to make Cowboy Carter a bestseller once again, though they could have done so if they wanted. The deluxe edition was finally released on vinyl, which spurred a huge number of purchases. Once the records shipped, they counted toward her Billboard total, and clearly there was intense interest in owning the longer, more detailed version of the set, as it sold incredibly well.

All those purchases help Cowboy Carter ride up the charts. Beyoncé returns to No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums ranking, earning its seventh week on the tally. The project has now spent two non-consecutive turns atop the roster.

At the same time, Cowboy Carter also reappears on the Top Album Sales chart, which doesn’t focus on one style, genre, or format. Beyoncé breaks back onto the list at No. 2, coming in behind only Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. That blockbuster rises from the runner-up spot, collecting its fifth turn in first place.

Looking at all forms of consumption, Cowboy Carter shifted 39,000 equivalent units. That’s up 133% from the week before, with sales doing almost all of that work. Beyoncé returns to the top 10 on the Billboard 200, surging from No. 50 to No. 10 after previously conquering the roster when the album debuted.
