Beyoncé is rumoured to be bringing her Cowboy Carter World Tour to Australia in late October to perform at the  Melbourne Cricket Ground ( MCG).

Melbourne breakfast radio station The Fox’s Fifi, Fev and Nick discussed the speculation on Tuesday morning after they were given intel that the multi-Grammy Award-winner, 42, is coming Down Under.

Co-host Brendan Fevola said he received an Instagram message from someone who ‘works in the major events space’.

They said the pop star would be adding an Aussie leg to her world tour later this year.

‘I got a DM – everyone brace yourself. “Hey Fev, keep me anonymous please. I work in the major events space and the word on the street is that Beyoncé is coming to town later this year”,’ Brendan, 43, read from his messages.

‘We all know the concerts at  the MCG MCG work… Ed SheeranTaylor Swift. It’s been the biggest shows of their careers.’

Brendan continued: ‘Now, I’ve done the math – I’ve done a bit of study. The AFL Grand Final is, obviously, the last Saturday in September.

‘Beyoncé is on a World Tour and her concert date is October 1 in Kansas City. So, the first match of cricket starts on November 4 – the Australian cricket season starts.

‘So that leaves four weekends possible… so maybe the last week before the  Melbourne Cup!’

The  Melbourne Cup will kick off on November 5 this year, meaning if Brendan is correct in his prediction, Beyoncé may perform in Australia in the last week of October.

It will be the Texas Hold ‘Em hitmaker’s first trip Down Under since November 2013 when she performed The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to  the MCG MCG for comment.

Beyoncé’s new album Cowboy Carter, her first journey into country-Americana music, has been a bonafide hit since it dropped on March 29.

It’s the second in a planned trilogy of albums following Renaissance which was released in 2022.

Initially, Beyoncé announced Cowboy Carter during the Super Bowl in February, and then dropped the album late the following month.

Soon after, it earned the distinction of being her eighth consecutive number one album on the Billboard 200, all while making her the first Black woman to top the Top Country Albums chart.
