He’s revealed how much he’ll have to pay in tax
Jeffrey Randall Allen, AKA Player 831, also spoke out about his motivations behind competing on the Amazon Prime Video show
BeastGames champion Jeffrey Randall Allen has revealed how much tax he could be forced to fork out on his winnings, with fans claiming the amount is ‘ridiculous’ and that he should simply ‘hand it back’.
Earlier this month, Allen, also known as Player 831, came out of the first season of YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson’s reality TV series, BeastGames, as the worthy winner.
The victor said he initially joined the new Amazon Prime Video programme to raise money for research into creatine transporter deficiency (CTD), a rare genetic disorder that his son Lucas suffers from.
Appearing on an episode of The Iced Coffee Hour, the Californian explained that while his child does produce creatine, his brain and muscles don’t receive it because of a defective transporter in his blood.
“It presented when he was super young. He stated missing milestones; wasn’t able to sit up; wasn’t able to crawl. He’s not very verbal and doesn’t cry a ton,” Allen explained.
After months of doctors’ appointments and tests, Lucas eventually had an magnetic resonance spectroscopy scan (MRS) that showed creatine wasn’t moving around his body efficiently.
