At Amy Winehouse’s funeral, Adele was also present and was very emotional when she saw the coffin of the famous British singer. She confided: “I was very sad because I knew that I would never hear her voice again, the way she sang to me before”.
Like Adele, Amy Winehouse is the golden girl of the British music industry when she was the first British artist in history to win 5 Grammy awards. She passed away when she was only 27 years old.
Her album Back to Black later became one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century in the UK. In 2012, Amy Winehouse ranked 26th on VH1’s list of the 100 greatest female artists in music. The BBC called her “the voice of a generation”.
