Detroit rapper Dank Demoss shared a weight loss update just months after she filed a lawsuit against Lyft for weight discrimination.

On Sunday (Aug. 31), Demoss, born Dajua Blanding, shared before and after pictures of herself on Instagram as a “reminder” to her followers that she is “not perfect.”

“I struggle with my weight ‼️I do not eat all day THIS IS NOT MY 600lbs life 🗣️,” wrote the rapper, who revealed earlier this year that she weighed a little over 500 pounds.

Dank added that she’s attempted to lose weight since she was eight years old and that she’s dropped “well over 100 pounds.”

“I GO TO THE GYM I HAVE WEEKS WHERE I GET BUSY AND DONT FEEL LIKE GOIN I HAVE DAYS WHERE I FUHK UP AND EAT MY FAVORITE CHIPS,” she continued.

The rapper admitted that she’s considered surgery due to thyroid issues and her weight gain being “genetic.” Despite dealing with with what she called her “forever battle,” Demoss encouraged herself to continue progressing in her weight loss to motivate others.

“GOD MADE ME THIS WAY IM HIS EXAMPLE HE TOLD ME TO INSPIRE AND IVE BEEN DOIN A GOOD JOB ‼️💕 GOD LOVES YOU,” she concluded. “BIGGEST DANK FOR A BIGGEST MTFKN REASON AND THE REASON IS BIGGER THAN ME AND YOU.”

In January, Demoss filed the aforementioned Lyft lawsuit after a driver canceled her ride upon seeing her, claiming that she wouldn’t be able to fit in his vehicle and told her to request a larger car. Soon thereafter, the rapper visited The Breakfast Club, where she denied having contacted the rideshare app and reporting the driver, although she retold her side of the incident.

“As I’m walking to the car, he’s looking funny. Doors getting locked. I’m just like—’Hell, you ain’t gonna let me in your car?’ I’m like, ‘For real?'” she said around the 14-minute mark of the video below.

Demoss also trolled Lyft by partnering with a local car dealership for an advertisement showing that she could get into an SUV without hassle.
