The hidden corner of the life of “British Nightingale” Adele: Abandoned by her father at the age of 3, hatred with the statement “if I see him again, I will spit on him” and the final forgiveness
In an interview with Vogue marking her return to music after nearly 6 years of rest, “British nightingale” Adele frankly revealed her stormy childhood and difficult decision to divorce.
The relationship between Adele and her biological father – Mr. Mark Evans was at a standstill for a long time. In 2011, Adele’s biological father criticized the famous British singer in an interview. He said that Adele was looking for love only because she was abandoned in the past.

Adele’s parents divorced when she was only 3 years old and her biological father – Mr. Mark Evans was absent for most of Adele’s childhood. According to the famous British singer, her biological father suffered from alcoholism since 1999 after shocks in life.
Adele confessed that she forgave her biological father before he passed away last May from cancer. Adele said that she and her biological father had not seen each other since she was 11 years old. Mr. Mark also did not actively contact his wife and children for a long time, but suddenly spoke up to share about his daughter or their relationship with the media when Adele became famous. In response to his daughter’s reaction, Mr. Mark Evans apologized to his daughter and expressed his intention to reconcile. For 10 years, he texted, wrote letters and sent birthday and Christmas cards to Adele, but the singer did not respond. However, when he heard that his biological father was lying in a hospital bed, tormented by terminal cancer, all of Adele’s resentment and anger disappeared. In a recent interview with the famous Vogue magazine, the famous singer said that she forgave her biological father before he passed away last May due to cancer.
The famous singer also added that before her biological father passed away, she played her new album for him. Not only mentioning the reconciliation between her and her biological father, in the conversation with Vogue, Adele also mentioned her short marriage and her efforts to make up for her young son.
Adele and her ex-husband – Simon Konecki got married in 2018 and announced their separation in late 2019. The famous singer completed the divorce proceedings in mid-2021. Currently, she is a beautiful, charming and successful single mother.
Having lived in a family with divorced parents, Adele understands what her son may be and will be facing. Therefore, Adele tries to convey to her son to understand and accept her parents’ decision to divorce in a civilized manner.
The “British Nightingale” said that she recorded her 4th album as an explanation to her 9-year-old son about her decision to divorce.
“Through this song, I want to explain to my ex-husband that, when he was in his 20s and 30s, who I was and why I accepted to give up everything to pursue my own happiness. I may have made him unhappy at times. And that is also a wound in my heart that I personally cannot heal,” Adele confided.
The singer said she hopes her son Angelo will behave well and respect his partner when he grows up.
Nearly two years after deciding to end her marriage, Adele confessed: “That marriage was no longer suitable for me. I didn’t want to have the same ending as many people I used to know. I didn’t suffer but really, suffering is an inevitable feeling. It’s great that nothing bad happened.”
Talking about her current self, Adele shared: “After a broken marriage, all my standards became higher. I’m forcing myself to step into bigger shoes.”
