Adele once revealed that she turned down a $100 million Las Vegas residency deal years before accepting her residency—not because of the money, but because it would’ve meant being away from her son, Angelo, during important moments of his childhood. At the time, Adele was offered the staggering amount to do a long-running show in Las Vegas, but she declined it because it clashed with her parenting priorities. She candidly said that no amount of money was worth missing dinner with her son. That decision reflects how deeply committed she is to being a present and hands-on mother.
For over a decade, we’ve had Adele-fever, and have been obsessed with everything we can get from her. She’s been feeding fans with music, amazing performances, and more, but it’s all coming to a hiatus, despite a $100 million offer.
Insiders recently told Life and Style Magazine that Adele allegedly turned down an insanely lucrative deal for a family-oriented reason.
“While fans may be disappointed by the news, it’s clear that Adele is choosing to prioritize family over fortune for now,” the insider said, talking about how she turned down a $100 million deal to extend her Las Vegas residency for a couple more years. “She has more money than she could ever spend, but now she wants a life. People don’t realize how much you sacrifice being at the top like Adele!”
Now, this makes sense when you remember what she said in early Sept 2024 about going on hiatus. Per Entertainment Weekly, she said she has “ten shows to do, but after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break.”
Adele
For those who don’t know, Adele and her ex, Simon Konecki, were together from 2011 until 2021. In 2012, they welcomed a son named Angelo, and as of 2024, they share joint legal and physical custody of him. Adele is now engaged to Rich Paul, who she’s been with since 2021.
In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adele talked about how she tries hard to balance being an adult and motherhood.
“Also, you realize how hard adulting is. So on top of them being your mum, they’re also going through their own shit. I struggle not to show my emotions to Angelo with other things I’m going through,” she said. “And I think that’s OK. Sometimes I wish I could hide it a bit less. But also, it’s not easy being an adult for anybody, in any situation.”
