Barcelona consider signing Adrien Rabiot despite transfer window closure
Barcelona are seriously considering signing Adrien Rabiot despite the summer transfer window closing for 2024, Mundo Deportivo say.
Barca will go in to beef up their midfield by signing Rabiot if they can get money from sponsors before October.
The Blaugrana consider Rabiot a top-class midfielder who has been unable to find a club because of his wage demands not because he’s a bad player.
Those wage demands may yet scuttle Barca’s hopes of signing Rabiot as he is demanding €10m per season to sign. Thus, he may have to reduce it to join Barca.
Rabiot recently left Juventus as a free agent after his contract expired.
Note that clubs are allowed to register players who are free agents even after the transfer window has closed.
