A fun-filled week just got more exciting for Hawkeye fans.
As Iowa (20-9, 10-8 Big Ten) heads to the 2025 Big Ten Tournament, Hawkeye fans will see and hear a familiar voice on the Big Ten Network this week.
The league announced on Tuesday that former Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder will serve as a studio analyst throughout the Big Ten Tournament. Bluder joins a Big Ten Network studio that will also feature Ashley Adamson and Shimmy Miller.
Bluder served as Iowa’s head coach from 2000-24, compiling a record of 528-254 (262-145 Big Ten). Bluder retired as both the all-time winningest Iowa and Big Ten coach in history.
Under Bluder’s direction, Iowa advanced to back-to-back Final Fours and national championship games in 2023 and 2024. Bluder guided Iowa to 18 NCAA Tournament appearances, five Big Ten Tournament titles and two Big Ten regular season crowns.

Bluder was recognized as the 2019 Naismith Coach of the Year and led three Big Ten Players of the Year during her time in Iowa City, including consensus National Player of the Year Caitlin Clark.
“It has been the honor of my career to be a part of the Iowa Hawkeye family, and to lead a women’s basketball program filled with so many talented and remarkable young women, who have gone on to do great things in their careers and, more importantly, in their lives,” Bluder said when announcing her retirement last May.
Iowa guard Caitlin Clark (22) and head coach Lisa Bluder react while watching a video presentation after a NCAA Big Ten Conference women’s basketball game against Michigan, Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Big Ten Network will broadcast 10 Big Ten Tournament games across the second round, quarterfinals and semifinals of the tournament.
Iowa opens as the No. 11 seed in the first round against 14th-seeded Wisconsin (13-16, 4-14 Big Ten) from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Iowa’s first round contest will stream on Peacock at 7:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
If the Hawkeyes beat Wisconsin, Iowa would match up with No. 6 seed Michigan State (21-8, 11-7 Big Ten) in a Thursday game at 8 p.m. CT that would air on Big Ten Network.
