Kansas City is showing off its excitement about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement.

Following the news that Swift, 35, said “yes” to Kelce’s romantic garden proposal, a celebratory message appeared in an area cornfield. Precision Mazes carved the message into a 9-acre cornfield at Johnson Farms Plants & Pumpkins in Belton, Mo.

It reads, “Kansas City is Enchanted,” in a nod to Swift’s hit “Enchanted” from her 2010 album, Speak Now. The maze design depicts the singer and the Chiefs tight end, also 35, embracing, with Swift resting her hand on Kelce’s cheek, in a callout to one of the engagement photos the couple shared when they announced the happy news.

The design also features a diamond ring intertwined with another ring and the numbers 87 (Kelce’s jersey number) and 13 (Swift’s lucky number).

Since the couple began dating in 2023, Swift has been welcomed with open arms by Kansas City. She’s been a fixture at Arrowhead Stadium, enthusiastically cheering on her now-fiancé and his Chiefs teammates at the games.

When Swift revealed her engagement on Instagram on Aug. 26, she wrote, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.” The post eventually racked up a staggering 37.1 million likes.

The couple shared photos of the romantic, flower-filled proposal, which took place at Kelce’s home, including the moment when Kelce was down on one knee and a close-up of Swift’s dazzling old mine brilliant-cut engagement ring.

Ahead of the Chiefs’ matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 14, Kelce opened up about the proposal in an interview for NFL on FOX. He told journalist Erin Andrews that “a few tears” were shed.

“The palms were definitely sweating,” he said.

“I’m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there,” the athlete added. “But it’s been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

When Andrews, 47, asked how much happier Swift makes Kelce, he replied, “She has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and made me just that much more comfortable in who I am.”

“It will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle,” the insider said. “They both have a close circle of friends, and they’ll respect their privacy.”
