One Chicago is the umbrella name for a series of interconnected NBC dramas centered around the fictional emergency responders of inner-city Chicago. TV producer Dick Wolf co-created all of the shows in the One Chicago universe, and the franchise started with firehouse-set Chicago Fire in 2012. Police drama Chicago P.D. followed in 2014 along with hospital show Chicago Med in 2015 and short-lived legal drama Chicago Justice in 2017. 16Archie Kao As Sheldon Jin

Detective Sheldon Jin was a tech expert on Chicago P.D. At the end of season one, Jin was revealed as a mole spying on his colleagues for corrupt Internal Affairs handler Stillwell, who threatened to deport Jin’s father.

When Stillwell’s operation unraveled, he killed Jin, whose body was discovered in the finale.

Because of this writing decision, actor Archie Kao’s job ended, as showrunner Matt Olmstead explained to TV Guide that they needed a cliffhanger with major impact to shake up characters.
