Jennifer Lopez shared ex-husband Ben Affleck’s private love letters with a group of musicians and his reaction was priceless, as it was revealed they now call him ‘Pen Affleck’

The pop icon spilled the beans on how she flaunted the sweet notes her beau penned for her in her documentary titled The Greatest Love Story Never Told. In one particular segment, J. Lo, who’s been swirling in the rumor mill about a possible split from Ben, divulged that she’s held onto a scrapbook brimming with heartfelt, handwritten missives from her main man Ben, whom she first got together with way back in the early 2000s.

Jenny from the Block cherished these letters, proudly showing them to her crew and friends so they could get a glimpse into the vision she had for her new album, which draws inspiration from her rollercoaster romance with Tinseltown hunk Ben.

In a moment of reflection, Ben recounted a visit to Jennifer’s recording space and shared: “My book that I had given her was down there. She’s like ‘I’ve been reading it to people. This is kind of the inspiration and I’ve been showing them the book.’ I was like you’ve been showing all the musicians all those letters… and they were like ‘Yeah we call you Pen Affleck.’ And I was like ‘oh my god.'”.

Ben also expressed his surprise over his personal letters becoming public when he continued: “I did really find the beauty and the poetry and the irony in the fact that it’s the greatest love story never told. If you’re making a record about it, that seems kind of like telling it.”

In the tell-all program, Ben once again reinforced his preference for privacy over public life. He asserted: “Things that are private I always felt are sacred and special because, in part, they’re private.”

The documentary screened alongside the launch of Jennifer’s cinematic journey ‘This Is Me… Now (A Love Story)’, promoting her new album under the same title. The new album serves as a follow-up to her smash-hit 2002 release, ‘This Is Me…Then’, which coincided with Bennifer being in full flight during their initial relationship.

However, the first chapter of the Jen and Ben saga concluded with a split in January 2004 due to harsh media spotlight. Their love story took a turn nearly two decades later when they reunited and exchanged vows in July 2022.

Reflecting on Ben back in 2002, Jennifer shared with US Weekly: “I’d probably say that he is brilliantly smart, loving, charming, affectionate. And I just admire him in every way. I respect him. I feel like he teaches me things”.

Asked about any regrets from their first affair, Ben confessed his participation in the ‘Jenny From The Block’ music video, which showed the couple intimately enjoying time on a yacht, was a mistake.
