The singer deserves a long break!
Adele Live In Munich – an unprecedented series of concerts in music history has come to an end. Building a “pop up stadium” (temporary stadium) with a capacity of nearly 80 thousand spectators, Adele Live In Munich has officially broken the record set by Taylor Swift not long ago as the artist with the largest audience at one location. Previously, Taylor Swift’s 8 shows of The Eras Tour brought 726 thousand spectators to Wembley Stadium (London) while Adele’s number was over 750 thousand spectators with 10 shows in Munich.
At the final show, Adele also made an emotional announcement, but at the same time, it was also a tacit confirmation to the global audience that she would have a very long break after finishing 10 shows in Munich as well as the series of shows settled in Las Vegas.
Adele emotionally says goodbye to the audience
“I only have 10 more shows in Vegas, then I will be away from everyone for a long time. From the bottom of my heart, I will always keep everyone’s image in my heart as well as always remember how wonderful the shows have been in the past time… It’s time for me to rest! Over the past 7 years, I have built a new life for myself, and now I want to immerse myself in it. I will miss everyone so much!” – Adele sadly shared.
Those are the very sincere and heartfelt shares that Adele sent to the audience during her time of hard work on the tour. Currently, perhaps Adele also wants to devote all her attention to raising her young son. Previously, Adele often had a very long “disappearance” between each new album, which could be up to 5 years. This time, Adele herself confirmed that the waiting time will be long, and I’m afraid that this “retirement” period will be much longer than the previous waiting times. Adele Live In Munich brought Adele more than 55 million USD (more than 1.3 trillion VND) after deducting all expenses. So before the “frozen” period, she also had time to bring home a considerable amount of assets.

According to the Guardian, the organizers mobilized more than 700 workers to build a temporary performance venue of about 4,000 square meters with a capacity of 75,000 spectators. The show is also equipped with a giant screen measuring 220 meters long and 30 meters high, worth 40 million euros (more than 1,000 billion VND). It is expected to break the Guinness record for the world’s largest outdoor LED screen. In addition, 75,000 square meters of asphalt have been laid in the stadium area to prevent mud and other unpleasant consequences due to bad weather. The organizers also built a real “Adele World” area, with a 400,000 square meter concert venue, including a 13,000-seat food hall and several English-style pubs where fans can enjoy the singer’s favorite cocktails. The area also simulates locations associated with the singer’s career, such as the Good Ship pub – where Adele performed in her early days.

The city of Munich is providing a relatively modest amount of support, no more than 100 million Euros, but the series of events surrounding Adele In Munich has the potential to significantly boost tourism and the city’s economy. Clemens Baumgärtner – a leading economic expert in Munich – estimates that Adele’s concerts will bring in 566 million Euros, more than five times the amount from catering and hotel services, as well as from renting out the exhibition center.
The CEO of Live Nation Germany also announced to the media: “This is the most expensive project of all time, the most elaborate project in my 50 years in the music industry.”
