Jelly Roll Jumps Off Stage Mid-Show To Meet Fan Who’s 1,384 Days Sober, “I Never Do This”
Jelly Roll Enters Crowd To Celebrate A Fan’s Sobriety
Jelly Roll recently paused mid-concert to make sure a fan got the recognition he deserved for his sobriety journey.
The moment took place in Canada, where Jelly Roll was performing at the Lasso Montreal country music festival.
At one point, while on stage, the singer noticed a young girl holding up a sign. When the Jumbotron zoomed in, it showed the message “MY DAD HAS BEEN SOBER FOR 1384 DAYS.”

He then asked the girl if her dad was at the concert. A man, who looked teary-eyed, raised his hand to show he was there.
Jelly Roll has been very open about his own struggles with drug and alcohol abuse when he was younger, so when he saw someone who had stayed sober for so long, he made sure to take a moment to celebrate them.
That’s when Jelly said, “I’m gonna come see this man right here,” as he headed to the side of the stage they were near.
“First of all, what a proud daughter, man. That’s a daddy-daughter moment I dream of right there,” he added.
The “Save Me” singer then did something nobody had expected. He walked off the stage and into the crowd, heading straight for the man.
“I never do this, but this is just awesome,” he exclaimed.
Once he reached him, Jell Roll had the man introduce himself. The concertgoer, named Mike, was then pulled into a big hug by the Grammy-nominated artist before he led the crowd into a chant of Mike’s name.
He didn’t stop there, though. Before parting ways, Jelly Roll celebrated Mike’s sobriety even more by singing a song he hadn’t planned to perform that night, just to honor him.
“I don’t have a song about anybody being 1,384 days sober, but I have wrote a song about somebody experiencing their very first day sober and I wanna sing that for you tonight. So we can celebrate you… all 30,000 of us!”
Jelly Roll walked back on stage and began singing a song from his Beautifully Broken album titled “Winning Streak.”
