Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that while Jude Bellingham is available against Alaves, Dani Carvajal will miss Tuesday’s (September 24) La Liga clash. The Italian tactician explained Carvajal will need a few more days to return to full fitness but should be back for the weekend’s derby against Atletico Madrid.

Ancelotti told the media that Bellingham’s shoulder issue is not a concern as the Englishman will be available for the Alaves game.

“Jude Bellingham has recovered. He’s available and will play. Carvajal needs more days and will return for the derby,” he said.

Ancelotti was worried about the fitness of his star midfielder after the 4-1 win over Espanyol. He shared that the former Borussia Dortmund star had taken off his shoulder protector a month ago, adding:

“Bellingham suffered from pain in the shoulder but he was able to complete the match, we will evaluate his condition in the coming days, but there is nothing worrying so far. Bellingham has always played with a shoulder protector. He took it off a month ago because he was fine, but today he has had the problem again. Tonight he has resolved it very well; we will see how he feels tomorrow. I think it won’t be a problem, although he has to take care of himself, obviously.”

Talking about Carvajal, the manager insisted that the defender’s injury was not serious but painful.

“Carvajal is suffering from pain, he suffered a bruise, but his injury is not serious,” Ancelotti said.

Real Madrid are second in the league table with 14 points from six games, four points behind Barcelona.

Carlo Ancelotti comments on Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid

Carlo Ancelotti acknowledged he has spoken to Endrick about his game time at Real Madrid. He said the Brazilian youngster needs to be patient.

“I spoke to him, like all the players. I ask him to be patient and he understands perfectly, because he trains and lives every day with the best strikers in the world. He understands his role, his role and I really say that he is gaining a lot of positions. His professionalism is very high, he is very mature. We are delighted. He’s going to play his minutes, his games.”

Despite playing just 26 minutes across six games in all competitions for Real Madrid, Endrick has scored twice and provided an assist.
