Henry Cavill, the man known for reloading his arms in a bathroom fight scene, has been speculated to be the new James Bond for ages. Credit where credit is due, Cavill would indeed make a spectacular James Bond.

With ongoing rumors and speculations that Cavill could be the next Bond, the actor naturally had to address the rumors. Well, the Man of Steel actor’s answers doesn’t sound bad at all!

Nothing Is Off The Table For Henry Cavill!

In a perfect world, Cavill would have already been announced as the next James Bond. However, there have been no announcements about a new Bond till now and that makes people anxious.

James Bond’s last outing was portrayed by Daniel Craig in the 2021 film No Time To Die which sees the demise of James Bond. The throne of the British spy has been empty ever since and people want Cavill to sit on it.

Addressing the rumors and speculations that Cavill is the next Bond, the actor once sat down for an interview. According to his talks with The Hollywood Reporter, nothing is off the table for Henry Cavill.

I think it would be very exciting to have a conversation with the producers [of James Bond]. In an ideal world, I’d never have to turn anything down.

He further continued,

Nothing is off the table. It’s an honour to even be part of that conversation.

Unfortunately, this is not a perfect world and the producers haven’t asked Henry Cavill to be a part of the James Bond franchise (yet). However, millions of people hope every day that sooner or later, the announcement will come.

Even the world is obsessed with the actor and Hollywood is not so different on this matter. A veteran director also revealed that he would like to see more of Henry Cavill in future films.

Zack Snyder Wants To See More of Henry Cavill

It was the year 2013 when Snyder decided to cast Cavill in the role of Superman in his film Man of Steel. The film marked the beginning of the DCEU as we know it and the world loved it eventually.

After the chaos at the present DCU, Cavill was fired from his role as Superman after a brief cameo in Black Adam. In another interview with THR, veteran director Zack Snyder talked about his love for Cavill.

Well, Henry is an amazing Superman to me, obviously. I hired him. I wanted him to be Superman. So any coins left on the table are unfortunate, and in that way.

He further continued,

It would be great to have more Henry. I always think you could have more Henry.

And we agree with the director. Cavill was last seen in a major role in the 2024 film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and later in a cameo in the MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine.

The Guy Ritchie film was considered average success but Cavill received much love for his role. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is available to stream on Starz in the U.S.
