Cardi B shared that her postpartum journey after giving birth to her third child feels a little ‘different’ from her previous two.

The rapper, 31, who announced the arrival of her baby girl with estranged husband Offset, 32, on Thursday, shared that she’s using exercise to ‘avoid postpartum depression‘ and not to ‘snap back.’

‘I’m not doing heaving lifting, no muscle straining, squatting none of that… just cardio. Sometimes to avoid postpartum depression you gotta keep your mind busy and for me that’s work and staying active,’ she said on Twitter on Monday, in response to a fan.

The musician took umbrage with a commentator who wrote about the ‘the pressure women in the industry’ are under to lose weight after giving birth, noting that Cardi had just welcomed her third child.

‘But you know what’s funny?? Y’all dragged me down when I gained 15 pounds because I was 5 months pregnant but now yall fake concerned and wanna talk about pressure???’ Cardi hit back.

‘Y’all said I was pregnant to avoid working now that you see I’m still at it it’s something else?? So yeah I’m taking this personal but its FOR ME because either way y’all are gonna have something to say.’

After the fan answered and said she was speaking in more general terms about ‘society’s expectations of women and “snap back” culture,’ Cardi wrote back a more agreeable message.

‘Totally babe!! And I do agree about society and pressure…I just was never the type to care about snap back after birth,’ she stated.

‘I don’t know what it is about this time around but I have this burst of energy where I want to do EVERYTHING… It’s like I want to complete all my goals in one day.’

It comes after the star showed that she’s already been working out on her Instagram Stories, sharing a glimpse of her stair master machine.

‘Big thirty minutes on the stair master…..ITS PERSONAL!!!! Do you know you got 30 minutes? YAAAAASSSS THIRTY THIRTY,’ she wrote on one clip.

She also promoted wearing a waist trainer, sharing a clip of herself in one.

‘I wear the waist trainer one hour a day…. Wear a large faja wit board while working and xxxs faja throughout the day,’ she shared on Monday.

On Sunday, Cardi gave fans a glimpse into the joyful whirlwind that followed the birth of her child.

She shared a behind-the-scenes video on TikTok, capturing all the excitement in the delivery room after she and Offset welcomed a baby girl.

The intimate footage features Cardi breastfeeding their newborn while Offset, amid their divorce, lovingly cradles the baby in his lap.

Their older children, Kulture, six, and Wave, three, were also part of the celebration, warmly hugging their new sibling with their proud parents.

Additionally, Cardi shared the touching moment when she FaceTimed Kulture to announce the arrival of the baby, whose name has yet to be revealed.

‘Hi mommy, is the baby sleeping?,’ Kulture asked, to which the proud mom replied, ‘Yeah, she’s little.’

The BTS clip comes after Cardi gave an update on her health on Saturday.

‘Thank you everyone that has shown me so much love,’ she said on Instagram, adding, ‘I’m sooo in love with my little baby!! She so cute and tiny.’

On Thursday, the WAP hitmaker revealed she had welcomed a baby girl as she shared the first adorable snaps of her newborn with Kulture and Wave.

The star was reunited with Offset in the delivery room as she shared a snap of the family doting on the new baby.

Kulture was seen holding her new little sister while doting dad Offset tenderly cradled his baby girl in the sweet snaps.

Cardi also posted photos showing her in labor and breastfeeding her newborn.

With the new arrival Offset is now a father of six by four different woman.

He is already father to son Jordan, 15, from his relationship with Justine Watson, son Kody, nine, whose mom is Oriel Jamie, and daughter Kalea, nine, with Shya L’Amour.

It comes after reports Cardi and Offset are not salvaging their marriage, despite their friendly display at Wave’s recent birthday party.

According to TMZ, the couple are moving forward with divorce plans.

The couple reunited to celebrate their three-year-old boy at DreamWorks Water Park inside American Dream mall in East Rutherford, NJ.

Sources told the outlet the soon-to-be divorcees have never discussed not being around the kids at the same time due to their amicable co-parenting.

Cardi announced her pregnancy on Thursday, August 1, one day after she filed for divorce from the Migos member.

She previously initiated a divorce in September 2020, but backtracked on the decision two months later.

A rep told People that the latest filing is ‘not based on cheating rumors, but rather has been a long time coming.’

‘She is excited about this new baby, and she’s recording, so everything with her is actually pretty good.’

It was added that the two musicians, who have often collaborated on songs, have had issues for ‘at least a year or so.’

The insider described the breakup as ‘amicable’ and noted that Cardi’s ‘friends just want her to be happy.’
