A close source to Brad Pitt contends with Angelina Jolie, stating: “It’s incredibly frustrating. She uses the kids as weapons against Brad. She keeps them away from him. There’s a pattern. Every time he wins in court, she retaliates with something related to the kids.”

Brad Pitt had reached a 50-50 custody agreement with Angelina Jolie, privately signed in 2021 but later cancelled by the end of that year. Despite Shiloh independently funding legal fees to legally remove Pitt from her surname, close relatives have complained to Page Six, accusing Angelina Jolie of influencing the children: “People should draw their own conclusions as to who is really behind all this. What benefit is there in separating the kids from their father? She orchestrates everything to cause maximum pain to Brad, without considering the long-term damage to the family.”

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt in September 2016, following an incident during a flight from Nice, France to the United States. The actress accused Pitt of grabbing her and their children, and of being physically aggressive, including an alleged incident where he grabbed one child and struck another who intervened to protect their mother. Angelina Jolie also claimed that Brad Pitt had been drinking and became intoxicated during the flight.

While Brad Pitt was not charged with any crime, he admitted that his behavior on the plane was inappropriate and sought to make amends. He spent a year and a half in sobriety, first quitting alcohol and then quitting smoking. However, according to another source, Brad Pitt has never truly apologized for the events that occurred on the flight.
