50 Cent Reacts to Video Footage of Diddy Assaulting Cassie - XXL

50 Cent is taking a sarcastic approach in his reaction to the newly surfaced video footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie in 2016.

50 Cent Immediately Reacts to Surfaced Footage of Diddy Physically Assaulting Cassie in 2016

On Friday (May 17), 50 Cent hit up Instagram with an immediate response to the incredibly disturbing surveillance video obtained by CNN, which finds Diddy violently assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie. 50, who has been consistently calling out Diddy since the moment Cassie slapped the defamed hip-hop exec with claims of abuse and s3xual assault in November of 2023, shared a portion of the video along with a caption of what he believes Puff’s representatives will have to say about the clip.

“Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing!” 50 Cent sarcastically wrote in the IG post below. “This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all.”

50 Cent’s reaction was swiftly met with further responses from rappers like DJ Quik and Fif’s longtime friend and fellow G-Unit member Tony Yayo. While Yayo simply replied, “crazy,” Quik referred directly to Diddy’s violent actions with, “Me caveman!”

50 Cent Doubles Down on Trolling Diddy Over Disturbing Assault on Cassie

About one hour later on Friday, 50 Cent transitioned to X, formerly known as Twitter, to double down on his commentary regarding the disturbing assault footage.

“The lie detector test has determined this was a lie…. Maury vibes,” 50 tweeted along with a screenshot of the official statement Diddy released back in December of 2023 regarding Cassie’s allegations. Diddy’s statement can be seen below.

Hotel Video Footage Lines Up With Cassie’s Sexual and Physical Abuse Allegations Against Diddy

The Queens-bred rap icon’s response arrives within hours of the now-viral video footage of Diddy and Cassie being exposed on Friday by CNN. In the video, which falls directly in line with Cassie’s since-settled 2023 lawsuit accusing Diddy of s3xual and physical abuse that lasted for years, the former couple are seen in the hallways of the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.

As Cassie hastily makes her way toward the hotel’s elevator in an apparent attempt to leave the premises, Diddy runs after the singer wearing no clothing save for a white bath towel. As she tries to enter the elevator, Diddy grabs Cassie, throws her forcefully to the floor and stomps on her body. He then ruthlessly drags Cassie across the floor.

According to Cassie’s initial lawsuit against Diddy that was filed and settled within 24 hours, the incident captured on camera at the Los Angeles hotel was spelled out verbatim. Cassie claimed that following one of Diddy’s s3xually explicitly “freak off” parties, the Bad Boy Entertainment exec gave her a black eye, prompting her to leave the room. Upon her exit, she claimed Diddy chased her into the hallway with the result being more violence, as the footage shows. Cassie’s lawsuit also accuses Diddy of paying $50,000 to obtain the security footage from the hotel

In the video clips and Instagram post below, watch Diddy assault Cassie and see 50 Cent’s reaction to the footage.

Slim Thug

Slim Thug shared his thoughts about Diddy on Instagram in March of 2024, and said he was disheartened to see so many people turn on the hitmaker so quickly.

“I don’t want to see a Black man who came so far—almost to a billion dollars—fall down,” Thug said. “That’s our inspiration. It ain’t too many of us. They took Kanye down. We losing another billionaire over allegations. Still ain’t no criminal charges. We only got about one billionaire left. Who, Jay-Z? That’s the only muthaf***a left.”

Uncle Luke

Uncle Luke has said a few times during the course of Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles that he believes the liquor company Diageo is behind the lawsuits. Luke first shared this theory on Instagram Live in March of 2024, and claimed things started going badly for Diddy right when he sued Diageo for racism and negligence in 2023.

“When you get your billions, and they put you on a pedestal, that’s because they put you up on a pedestal,” the Florida rapper said. “They made you the guy. They place you on every network. They sold you to all y’all on here. […] They put you up on a pedestal because they need you. It’s like some pimp s**t.”

He continued, “This is how the major corporations work when you try to come after them,” he said. “Now you put a lawsuit in. Bam! ‘F**k that sh*t, I’m suing their a*s. I’m taking their company down’ […] This man cost that liquor company billions of dollars!”

Stevie J

Stevie J has stood firmly by his close friend Diddy ever since the rap mogul was accused of numerous s3x crimes by Cassie in November of 2023. Stevie was named in Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ s3xual assault lawsuit Jones filed against the Bad Boy Records founder. Stevie dismissed the allegations as a “money scheme.”

Stevie J was also in Diddy’s Miami home when federal agents raided the property in connection with a s3x trafficking investigation on March 26, 2024. In a follow-up interview a few days later with Fox 5, Stevie J denied any wrongdoing and said Diddy had nothing to hide.

“My man would never break the law,” he said. “We’re law-abiding citizens. That’s what we do. You know this is another crucifixion of a Black man.”

Floyd Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather came out in support of Diddy in February of 2024. In an interview with The Pivot Podcast, Floyd out of nowhere said he didn’t believe any of the allegations against Diddy.

“I’m not gonna speak bad about P. Diddy, ’cause he’s still a Black man,” he said. “Mistakes happen. And I can’t say if it is or if it’s not a mistake, but things happen in life. And P. Diddy business is P. Diddy business. It’s not my job or anyone else’s job to go on the internet and stomp him and kick a man when he’s down. My take on it is it’s not my business. I don’t think it’s right at all and I don’t condone it.”

Akon

On April 5, 2024, TMZ caught up with Akon at the Los Angeles International Airport and asked him for his opinion on Diddy’s lawsuits and possible s3x trafficking investigation. The singer said God knows best and said he trusts God to handle the situation with Puff properly.

“I would like to say just pray for the man,” Akon said. “God knows best, whatever’s happening, God’s dealing with it and that’s the best thing to say. But it is very unfortunate that things in this business are always being exposed in some ways and I think things could be done differently. But I think this is a matter for God, and he’s continued to deal with it how he’s been dealing with it.”

Tyrese

After Diddy’s homes were raided in March of 2024, Tyrese was one of the earliest celebrities to come out and publicly defend the mogul.

“What I can’t do and what I won’t do is downplay the laughter, the fun, the energy, the inspiration, the award shows the studio sessions the most legendary parties and events I’ve ever attended in my life,” Tyrese wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post a few days after the raids. “I also can’t act as if my high school backyard parties throughout South Central L.A. wasn’t the craziest parties ever because of the Bad Boy on slew of hit record.”

He continued, “I don’t condone nor do I support abuse, bullying s3xual assault or anything that is currently being alleged but what I can’t do is turn the blinds on how much this mean to me and all of us, and what he has done for the community of music and culture. I’m praying for Diddy his kids, his family, his mother, and all of the alleged victims that’s in the middle of trying to simply have their voices to be heard. I love this brother he’s been nothing but kind and generous towards me and that’s the way I feel praying and praying for more of a better outcome of all of this is happening, God bless you Diddy if you ever need to call me and just need a listening here I’m right here bro…..”
