It doesn’t look like Tom Holland is going anywhere anytime soon, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day set to kickstart another trilogy of films for the wallcrawler. But that hasn’t stopped The Last of Us and A Game of Thrones star Bella Ramsey from throwing their hat in the ring to play Peter Parker.
Speaking with Variety about what they’d like to do next with Pedro Pascal, given Joel’s death, the conversation quickly found its way to superheroes, as Pascal recently starred in The Fantastic Four: First Steps as Reed Richards.
I could be Spider-Man.
Naturally, the interviewer asked Ramsey if they had any interest in donning the spandex themselves to follow their co-star into the MCU. “I don’t know about that,” they said. “I could be Spider-Man. Tom Holland did a great job, though. So, maybe they do need to make a new [superhero] for me.”
Bella Ramsey Has Only Seen One Marvel Movie, But They “Loved It”

While superhero movies are unavoidable these days, dominating streaming and cinemas with countless releases every year, even sparking worries about ‘superhero fatigue’, Ramsey has only seen one such film—Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man.
“It was the first time I watched a Marvel film, and that was two months, three months ago,” they explained. Their verdict? It was “incredible”, and they “loved it”. Hardly surprising then that they’d be interested in slipping on the mask themselves and thwipping around New York City. Hopefully, though, Tom Holland’s trilogy will lead into Miles Morales’ long-overdue live-action debut, rather than another recast. We’ve already met his uncle. C’mon, Marvel.
Bella Ramsey will reprise the role of Ellie in the third season of The Last of Us, though they haven’t read a finished script yet, and it doesn’t currently have a release date. Beyond that, they have several upcoming films to look forward to—Harmonia, Sunny Dancer, and the Correction Unit—as well as a new TV series, Maya, in which Ramsey plays the titular teenage girl as she flees London for witness protection in Scotland under the hot pursuit of a hitman
