Wolfgang Van Halen appeared to be taking a shot at David Lee Roth in Mammoth’s latest music video for their new song, ‘I Really Wanna.’
The video for “I Really Wanna” features what seems to be a pointed reference to previous comments made by the former Van Halen frontman about Wolfgang.
The lyrics stated, “This fuckin’ kid is on the other side.” They appeared to respond to Roth’s earlier criticism directly. In the music video, Wolfgang portrays a character in the background wearing sunglasses and a flashy red shirt. He appears bored while using a megaphone to deliver the pointed lyric.

The reference stems from Roth’s previous public comments about Wolfgang Van Halen during their touring days.
Roth had said, “This fuckin’ kid. He’s complaining the entire tour like I’m not paying enough attention to him on stage. He’s complaining to everybody around me — the business manager, the security guy, the clothing lady, ‘Dave’s not paying enough attention to me.’”
The video represents the latest chapter in the ongoing tension between the two musicians following their time together in Van Halen.

Wolfgang Van Halen doesn’t take criticism lightly. He also recently responded to a critical fan comment by publicly exposing the individual and mocking his name in a video shared on Instagram.
The incident began when a Van Halen fan named Mike Besack criticized Wolfgang’s music in a comment. Wolfgang then created a response video addressing the criticism directly.
The fan had written about Wolfgang’s work. He said, “Of the songs you’ve taken and reimagined from your dad’s vault that no one has ever heard before, this is among the most mundane.”
Wolfgang’s response was swift and pointed, showing he has no time for haters.
