Angel Di Maria: ‘My wife told me if Leo comes to PSG, at least we will stay and you will make him the barbecue’
“I always had the dream of playing with Messi. Every time we play with Argentina, it’s too little for me. I had, at the time, chances to go to Barcelona [in 2017] but it wasn’t meant to be. It seems there is another chance, but my contract at PSG [until July 2021] is ending,” Angel Di Maria has told TyC Sports.
“My wife told me ‘if Leo comes, at least we will stay and you will make him the barbecue.’ It would be the dream come true. I could not ask for anything more in football,” the Argentine added.
Although Angel Di Maria has a big Real Madrid background, his farewell with the Whites isn’t his best memory. The Argentine was heavily linked with the Barcelona arrival in 2017 but the Catalans opted to sign Paulinho instead.
Di Maria and Messi have participated in 11 goals together, making 85 appearances alongside each other.
