Reflecting on Cole’s decision, 50 Cent compared the situation to Drake’s experience as a consistent winner in the culture. “When you win over and over again, people begin to turn on you—they start treating you like an enemy,” he explained. He suggested that, despite Cole being one of the top artists in the game, his choice to avoid engaging in the feud may have missed an opportunity for artistic growth and competition.

J. Cole’s Stance on the Feud  

The tension escalated after J. Cole dropped his track “7 Minute Drill” on his project *Might Delete Later*. Though the Kendrick-Drake rivalry had simmered for years, this track added fuel to the fire. However, rather than fully diving into the conflict, Cole chose to step back, explaining in his song “Poor Antonio” that engaging in the feud might cost him a brotherly bond. In the lyrics, he reflected:
