Xzibit Praises Eminem’s Legacy: “There Will Always Be a Place for Him in Hip-Hop History”
Xzibit recently sat down with Big Boy for a new interview, where he briefly reflected on Eminem’s impact and legacy in hip-hop.
Speaking candidly, Xzibit didn’t hold back his admiration for the Detroit rap icon.
“You see rappers, and then you see legends. Eminem is a legend. There will always be a place for him in the history books of this thing of ours,” Xzibit said. “Marshall is definitely a savant when it comes to hip-hop—how he appreciates it, how much he loves it. He feels the same way I do… that hip-hop saved my life.”
Xzibit continued by emphasizing the respect he has not just for Eminem, but for the loyalty and consistency of the team behind him.
“I feel like Marshall has claimed his spot in hip-hop royalty. I have a tremendous amount of respect for his team—Paul, Tracy, everybody at Goliath. He’s had the same people around him since the beginning, and that speaks volumes. Eminem, Marshall Mathers—that’s the homie.”
