Taylor Swift Fans React to London Eras Tour Venue’s New Safety Measure After Terrorist Threat..

Many of Taylor Swift’s fans indicated support for a safety measure that Wembley Stadium said it would implement at the pop star’s upcoming Eras Tour shows in London, England.

Swift, 34, performed three nights at the iconic venue in June and is now slated to perform there again for five more nights starting on Thursday, Aug. 15. While the “Cruel Summer” songstress was initially scheduled to perform three shows in Austria before returning to London, her concerts in Vienna were suddenly canceled after local authorities revealed that they had uncovered a suspected terror plot potentially targeting an Eras Tour show.

Austrian authorities announced on Aug. 7 that they had made arrests in connection with the suspected terror plot. Shortly afterward, London’s mayor assured Swifties that the megastar’s upcoming shows at Wembley Stadium would move forward as scheduled.

There is, however, expected to be one major change for ticketless fans who may have hoped to listen to Swift perform while gathered outside the stadium. While thousands of fans have done this during previous Eras Tour concerts—including at Wembley—the stadium said on its website that this activity will not be permitted.

“To support with the safe entry and exit of everyone within the stadium, no one is allowed to stand outside any entrance or on the Olympic Steps at the front of the stadium,” Wembley’s Eras tour event page said. “Non ticket holders will be moved on.”

A few of Swift’s fan accounts shared information about the safety measure on X, formerly Twitter. While the news was disappointing for many fans, most seemed to understand and accept the decision.

“For the safety of all, this is good,” one fan wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“Sad but understandable with everything that happened,” another fan said.

“This was actually needed,” one Swiftie decided, adding, “Its for safety purposes.”

“I feel so sad for the fans who wanted to be there outside the stadium, but if it’s for the safety of you guys, that would be fine. Please please please, stay safe for the next week you guys,” another Swiftie tweeted.

“Yeah it sucks for those without ill intent, but it’s necessary for not only Taylor’s, but everyone in the stadiums safety,” an X user agreed.
