Lamine Yamal has had an amazing start to the 2024/25 season for Barcelona and contributed a goal in every La Liga match so far.

He has three goals and five assists in the league so far, and Hansi Flick just can’t seem to give him any rest at this point.

Yamal has only been rested for 14 minutes in Barca’s matches so far this season, something that is worrying some fans. This is especially because of the kind of rough tackles he’s enduring in matches, especially one that happened against Villarreal.

That has caused some fans on Twitter wanting Yamal to be rested. Here are some reactions for that.

NealGardner: “My ideal XI for Getafe? Anyone but Lamine… *Please* keep him FAR away from the pitch against Bordalas and his goons.”

90+5: “He has no business playing against Getafe.”

Acroffootball: “Rest him. That’s too much.”

Suresh: “This is how youngsters get injured,, he’s good, but he needs to be rested more.”

IF Hansi Flick really does opt to rest Yamal for the upcoming game against Getafe on Wednesday (25 September), it could mean for a few switch-ups in the frontline.

He could end up playing Raphinha on the right-wing and play Ferran Torres on the right, with Pedri retaining his role in the no.10 role. Here is how Barca could line-up without Yamal against Getafe.

Barcelona potential XI without Lamine Yamal: Pena, Kounde, Cubarsi, Martinez, Balde, Casado, Garcia, Pedri, Raphinha, Ferran, Lewandowski
