Raphinha and Casado train separately from Barca squad, not because of injury
Raphinha and Marc Casado have been told to train separately from the Barcelona first-team squad ahead of their game against Osasuna.
Barcelona believes both players need more time to recover their fitness after featuring for 90 minutes in the game against Getafe in midweek. Hansi Flick confirmed this.
“This is what we have in hand. We give the players the opportunity to recover and it is good not to train,” Flick explained.
“It allows them to follow the treatment better. Tomorrow we will have activation, we will do rounds and then each one will know how they should play tomorrow.
“They will be ready during the evening tomorrow,” Flick assures.
Raphinha has started every game Barca has played this season while Casado has now become Barca’s only surviving defensive midfielder following injuries to Bernal and De Jong.
Hansi Flick tells Kounde to rest: ‘After every match, he wants to train. It’s not normal’
