Poor right-back record rules out Valverde as Carvajal’s replacement

Real Madrid are excluding the option of using Fede Valverde as a right-back to cover for Dani Carvajal. The club have noted that the team has not won any matches with Valverde playing in that position.

Valverde has previously played as a right-back in four matches. In those games, Real Madrid recorded three draws and one loss, failing to secure a victory.

This poor record may deter Carlo Ancelotti from considering Valverde in this role moving forward.

Ancelotti’s primary choice for right-back remains Lucas Vazquez. However, if Vazquez suffers an injury, Ancelotti may have to consider using Valverde again.
