Michael Rainey Weighs In on 50 Cent & Lil Meech Feud, Sparks Response from Meech
Michael Rainey Jr. chose a side in the 50 Cent and Lil Meech beef—and it may not be surprising.
On Monday (Mar. 24), the Power Book II: Ghost actor took to Instagram, where he bluntly called Meech a “h*e a** ni**a” and said that he wouldn’t have any sympathy for him falling out with Curtis Jackson.
“Do I feel bad for Lil Meech? I don’t feel bad for no grown man on this planet. I’m a grown man. Why the f**k would I feel bad for another grown man? You a grown man too, ni**a,” Rainey said bluntly in a now-deleted post.
Lil Meech caught wind of the video and responded on his Instagram Story shortly after the clip went viral. Meech didn’t seem to take Rainey’s message seriously at all and laughed it off with several emojis to drive his statement home. “this lil ni**a be talking to his self. Boy shut the f**k up,” the BMF actor typed before tagging Michael in the post. The Miami native then followed up with a subsequent clip telling Rainey to “stay out of tall business” and referring to him as a “little boy.”
The posts arrived just a month after 50 took to Instagram to praise the 24-year-old for his recent NAACP win for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for his work in Power Book II: Ghost. Jackson gushed about the young thespian, proclaiming that his talent was going to take him far, typing, “@michaelraineyjr won NAACP outstanding actor in a drama series, he is gonna be better [than] all of us. He’s focused, got 2 movies in the can BOOM.”
50 Cent previously offered a glimpse into his relationship with Lil Meech and why he feels things went south with Big Meech. A now-deleted post found the 49-year-old artist revealing that he once sent Lil Meech to rehab.
“Thought about it. I think [Big Meech] was uncomfortable with me and MeMe’s relationship… I’m telling MeMe don’t want him doing drugs. He telling him he use to do X like it’s cool. I tell MeMe chill stop spending all ya money, he telling him how much money he blew,” 50 typed.
“People don’t know I had to send MeMe to rehab. Russell Hornsby peeped he was high as f**k on set he started throwing up at a weapons test then Ian told me the little (ni**a) had whippets in his truck. I said what the f**k is whippets. I look it’s the sh*t that be in Bebe guns.”
